Meet Melissa
Melissa's journey has been marked by a dark past of abusive relationships and trauma, but she found solace and healing through the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and a passion for horses. Overcoming fear, anxiety, depression, and other challenges, she embarked on a remarkable healing journey through Biblical counseling, experiencing redemption and transformation by a loving Heavenly Father.
Inspired by Kim Meeder's book, "Hope Rising," Melissa felt a calling to create a ministry similar to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, where horses rescue broken children. Her desire is to offer hope and healing to others, particularly those who have endured abuse, by demonstrating God's unconditional love for us through the unconditional love horses express. Through her ministry, she aims to bring light to dark places and help others find their path to redemption and healing.
Experience & Training
Melissa Brown is a Certified Biblical Counselor. She has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training from Grand Valley State University. After opening her heart to Jesus, Melissa experienced tremendous healing and felt God calling her to go back to school to become a counselor. She has counseling certifications through Elijah House Ministries and Restoring the Foundations. She also has training through Life Skills International and Set Free Ministries. Melissa completed her internship through Stonegate Sabbatical Ministries. Melissa has been counseling women and children since 2014.
